In order to support the mission of the Government of Brunei Darussalam to create a pro-business environment, changes and procedures in the payment of deposit of foreign workers has been implemented, which it is hoped will reduce the burden on employers to recruit foreign workers.
The above changes and procedures are as follows:
1.
Using Insurance Guarantee / Takaful Guarantee on Foreign Workers (JITPA) for
the payment of deposit on foreign workers, in addition to using cash deposit
and banker's guarantee.
Approved operators of JITPA are as follows:

Deposit of foreign workers has been reduced to a lower and appropriate rate.
