LABOUR ENFORCEMENT DIVISION


​ROLES AND FUNCTIONS OF LED

The main function of this division is to enforce the Act and Regulations enforced by the Department of Labour. The Labour Enforcement Division of the Department of Labour is the one that is also responsible for settling labor disputes between employees and employers. Among other roles the division is also preventing and taking action on abuse of migrant workers and misuse of Recruitment Licence.




DISPUTE SETTLEMENT

The Labour Enforcement Division receives complaints from workers and employers in regards 
to labour practices and laws.

A.Guidelines to make a complaint :

  1. Lodge a report / complaint to nearby Police Station
  2.Proceed to the Labour Enforcement Division or its nearest branch to make a complaint
  3.The complainant must come personally to lodge a report and cannot be represented by 
      anyone else.

B. Documents that must be brought along when lodging a report / complaint:-

 1.Police Report
 2.Identity Card
 3.Worker’s Passport
 4.Worker’s Contract
 5.Job Card / Time Card
 6.Other relevant documents
