Labour Standards And Employment Agency Division is one of the division contained in the structure of the Department of Labour. At first, this division is known as the Inspections Division, which, among its duties was to receive application for Foreign Worker Recruitment License and then conduct interviews with employers for a new labour license and also perform inspection at the employer’s premise before it is approved, besides describing tasks and witness the employment contracts are also conducted by the division. In the late 90s , the role and responsibilities of the division was reinforced and its name was changed to the Labor Standards Division, carrying out the same role. In 2008, regular inspection (ordinary inspection) or statutory began to be held back until this day.
